Notice

We are kindly asking that parents refrain from parking in front of the cones that close off the fire lane. We have a Marysville School District bus that comes to BJTELA to transport children. When their route is blocked, it is hard for them to stay on schedule. Thank you for your cooperation.

Parent Involvement

Family Involvement is important to our program and required by our grants. Per our grant we must establish a Parent Committee and Policy Council. These are two parent groups which we highly encourage your involvement. We invite you to gain more information about these parent groups, your input is important to our program.

All Academy families are automatically members of the Parent Committee and can attend any meeting at any time throughout the year. Meetings are scheduled for the third Wednesday and third Thursday of each month.

Parent Committee
The BJT Academy establishes a Parent Committee every year. The Parent Committee is a group of BJTELA Parents/Guardians who come together to plan extra Family events, fundraisers and provide input about things such as menus, events and parent trainings. Input is important the overall well-being of our children and families overall experience.

We recognize parents as advocates for their children and encourage involvement in planning family events, trainings, and activities. This committee will directly work with the Family & Community Engagement Coordinator, Management Staff of the BJTELA.

Policy Council
The BJT Academy establishes a Policy Council every year, whose members include parents of children currently enrolled in the program, community representatives, and the governing body; together these members must actively engage in program decision-making.

Policy Council is an organized leadership group which involves the empowerment of parents and community members with such duties as; participation in the community needs assessment process, establishing and upholding the policies and practices of the Academy.
