Our kindergarten program is designed to provide a strong foundation for academic success. We follow a child-centered approach, integrating Montessori and traditional education elements.
Literacy and Numeracy: Children engage in language arts, reading, and writing activities. We explore mathematical concepts through hands-on experiences and problem-solving.
Science and Exploration: Kindergarteners participate in science experiments nature walks, and learn about the world around them.
Social and Emotional Development: We emphasize social skills, empathy, and self-regulation.
Art and Creativity: Children express themselves through art, music, and movement.
Physical Education: Outdoor play, games, and physical activities promote gross motor skills.
Individualized Learning:
Our experienced teachers recognize that each child learns at their own pace. We tailor instruction to meet individual needs, ensuring that every child thrives.
Small class sizes allow for personalized attention and meaningful interactions.
Assessment and Progress Tracking:
We regularly assess students’ progress to identify strengths and areas for growth.
Parent-teacher conferences provide opportunities for open communication and collaboration.
Transition to Elementary School:
Our program prepares children for a smooth transition to elementary school. We focus on essential skills such as reading readiness, math fundamentals, and social adaptability.
Selection criteria for students:
Tribal Membership: This ensures a culturally relevant and inclusive learning environment.
Montessori Experience: Students who have completed at least one or preferably two years of Montessori Early Childhood are well-prepared for the expanded program.
Attendance: Consistent attendance (90%) demonstrates commitment and engagement.
